How to Fail Successfully

This session will explore and unveil the reality of the business world and start up life. You can expect to hear and learn from real-life experiences based on day to day business activities.
Furthermore, the session provides a real combination of relevant topics to prepare you to deal with the challenges ahead in your entrepreneurial journey. We will cover most of the pitfalls to avoid in health tech, as well as the most common mistakes that lead to the failure of start up companies.

Prepared and delivered by:
João Bocas is a serial entrepreneur, advisor and start up mentor. He brings a wealth of business experience gained in the past 25 years, he works in the UK and internationally advising businesses on growth and development strategies.
He has first-hand experience in several industries, including global digital health industry. He also offers valuable insights and wisdom about failure and success in start-up environments.
His passion lies in helping others, sharing experiences, transferring knowledge, working collaboratively and passing on his learnings and wisdom gained on his entrepreneurial journey.
He possesses more than 25 years of hands-on experience in Professional Sport and Corporate environments working with senior management, boards, and executive teams. He has worked in healthcare, financial services, media, sporting, third and public sector organisations.
He was nominated a finalist of the great British Entrepreneurs Awards 2015 and he’s a global advisor and board member of several tech companies.
