Cash Flow: A Practical Guide from Blank Spreadsheet to Completed Forecast

Wednesday 8th April  | 10:00 - 12:00

STRUCTURE:

In this interactive workshop all attendees will actively contribute in the creation of a 12 month cash flow forecast. We will start with an empty Excel document and work through all aspects of cash flow creation to document completion.

This workshop covers many of the financial decisions to be made (and why we make them) when planning for startup and/or growth. Learn how to use your finished cash flow as a tool to make informed decisions that are fact based rather than feel based.

This is an interactive workshop. Be prepared to discuss, ask questions, and contribute experiences.

The workshop is designed for the following people:

  • Those who need to understand the basics of cash flow creation so as to be better able to understand and monitor business cash needs.
  • Business owners who are not accountants and need to gain a basic understanding of cash flow analysis so as to make decisions that are more fact based rather than feel based.

By the end of the workshop participants should be able to:

  • Learn that cash flow (not profit!) is vital for business survival.
  • Understand how business transactions impact on money going in and out of the business.
  • Comprehend and forecast the impact of the cash flow on business activities.

The benefits of attending this workshop are:

  • Understanding your cash needs and be able to carry out a basic health check on the business.
  • Gain confidence to discuss your cash position with banks, funders, and accountants.
  • Learn to identify cash issues when planning for future projects.
  • Better prediction of potential income and expenditure issues.
  • Basic knowledge of a variety of actions and solutions for cash flow issues.
